My opinion of the top 10 Led Zeppelin songs that didn’t get enough recognition as I think they should have. There are much, much more but these are the songs I feel were the most underrated. Feel free to agree or disagree on my list, but please, just don’t criticize Zeppelin.

Note that as the list gets smaller it’s not the songs I felt were better than others, but were just MORE underrated than them.

10. The Crunge
9. The Wanton Song
8. Out On The Tiles
7. The Lemon Song
6. Dancing Days
5. In My Time Of Dying
4. The Rain Song
3. Your Time Is Gonna Come
2. Custard Pie
1. The Rover

Quinn Hunt says:

Tangerine, ten years gone and the battle of evermore are some of their best

Anna Maria says:

Yes, yes, they are all pretty good songs but I don’t understand why some of
them are “underrated”. I mean “dancing days”, “your time is gonna come”,
“custard pie” and maybe all the others except rover (I’m still not sure
about underrated tho).. Just couple of good songs. My #1 most underrated
zep song is “In My Time Of Dying”

Lorenzo Dicembre Official says:

Dancing Days is the most underrated song of LZ… the riff is amazing!

BeholdenYeti says:

Physical Graffiti was filled with songs that were probably the best songs
led zeppelin ever made. But Most of them are completely underrated. Really
the only real popular songs that came off that album was “Kashmir”, “Houses
of the Holy”, and “Trampled Underfoot”, but you cant just give the success
of that album to those songs, you have “In the Light” “Sick Again” “Custard
Pie” “Night Flight” ETC. And my personal favorite’s “The Rover” “Ten Years
Gone” and “In My Time Of Dying”. But That’s what make these songs
special… Only True Zeppelin fans find these to be there favorites. Which
is why I Favorite the underrated over the popular.

Im Devy says:

Ten years gone should be on here.

Louis Slater says:

2. Ten Years Gone
3. Gallows Pole
4. The Battle Of Evermore
5. Friends

Alex Greggary says:

Where’s “As Long As I Have You”? I know it wasn’t officially released, but
this song was a staple of Zep’s 1969 shows and it’s easily one of their
best songs ever, with so much power put into every performance. I also feel
like “We’re Gonna Groove”, “I Can’t Quit You Babe”, “What Is And What
Should Never Be”, “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” and “Bring It On Home” should
be on the list, if not, at least be honourably mentioned. Those songs
capture the true spirit of the original 60s Zeppelin and were amazing when
played live. I like the songs on the list, but I feel like a ton of the
ones I mentioned surpass almost ever song on the list (except for the rain
song and lemon song, which are excellent!)

Richard Bain says:

Thanks for putting The Crunge on list it is a all time classic Led Zeppelin

Yeah almost no one talks about Down by the Seaside and they rarely played
it in concert, but it’s a real gem on Physical. One of my very faves.

unknowndeoxys00 says:

I feel that a good portion of LZ’s acoustic songs, and songs from Presence
through Coda are the most underrated. But I’m usually not too nitpicky, I
admire every song (except Stairway perhaps…that one needs a break
obviously). This is a really good list. These songs need more lovin’! 😀
Random note: Jimmy’s hand at 3:58 – It’s like he’s going to grab me and
pull me into the screen x] Total “Take On Me” moment 😛

AmericanInvasion17 says:

I would definetely agree. These songs are all great and they definetely do
not get the respect they deserve. My personal favorite on this is The Lemon
Song. I could listen to that song over an over again. It is just so complex
with so many different things going on. Great video 🙂

ZBone12 says:

TheBeatlesLove1967 says:

first album but doesn’t get as much airplay or credit as Communication
Breakdown or Dazed and Confused. I also like Black Country Woman a lot

asgure says:

Great list, I would have put the battle of evermore in though.
