Whenever it snows I play this song. That riff, that groove, that organ,
those vocals, the atmosphere. That creepy part at the very end where Plant
is singing about dogs of doom as it echoes out always sent chills up my
spine growing up. I wish the song was longer.
Close the door, put out the light.
You know they won’t be home tonight.
The snow falls hard and don’t you know?
The winds of Thor are blowing cold.
They’re wearing steel that’s bright and true
They carry news that must get through.
HOW…. How can over 100 people ‘Dislike’ this fucking incredible musical
creation. I want to huddle in a large tent with everyone who enjoys this
song and talk about life.
I always pictured fallen angels being sent to Earth as human guardians,
braving the demons and darkness lurking within whose sole purpose is to
corrupt.
i a serious love for this song, but the on thing that really fasinates me
is the guitar riff that plays throughout the song…. such a deep hard irie
riff… only plays like 3 different times through the song and finishes the
end but man… what a guitar riff… this is some dark shit… this is the
kinda riff you create after a night of worshiping the devil
I have a severe inner infection with some hearing loss… I described to
the ear specialist what I do hear is like Plants water effects voice in
this song. Doc’s an old rocker, too. He got it. Pass the antibiotics.
This song is so unlike zeppelin. But I like it. Has a touch of hard rock,
bust mostly psychedelic sounding. One of the best from zeppelin in my
opinion.
You are so correct Led Sabbath when you say this riff is some “dark
shit”.It could be and maybe the Jimmy Page connection to Alistaire
Crowley? Now THAT is some ‘DARK SHIT” for sure.
This is magical.I believe Zeppelin’s magic.
This song is about making a long, arduous journey to the local arcade
(which, incidentally, isn’t very local).
Upon arrival, the protagonist makes a daunting discovery: he has no
quarters!

They choose the path where no-one goes.
They hold no quarter.
They choose the path where no one goes……
This song has a very Pink Floyd sound to it, I love it as a Led Zeppelin
song but yea.

Crowbar’s cover of this song is fantastic.
Alright, alright how bout two dimes and a nickel, for Christ’s sake jeez.
Okay, I’ll settle for a DIME, then, please…while I dream of an Eight
Ball. Now that would be paradise!
Joey Diaz brought me here.
something classic for a change… ;)
i was tripping today and my friend told me to listen to this song, holy
shit, my mind was blown
Un dimanche, tu reconnais un morceau aussi vieux que toi à la radio. Et là
le temps s’arrête 🙂

I can still see the trip I took so long ago while this song was pulsing in
the back ground of the night… To build a dream for me and you.
The Tool cover of this track is beast too.

Rainy Cold Day
No Quarter – Led Zeppelin
One of the finest songs on “Houses of the Holy” by far!
I really fucking wished they filmed Zep record this in the studio. I’d want
to see Bonham behind that kit in recording, fuck.
Masterpiece by Mr Page. One of Zeppelins best.
How dare you hit the dislike button? You have brought great shame and
dishonor to your family
Imagine listening to this while watching a ball of mercury in a bowl of
water. Why? Because it’s weird and this song kicks ass.

Good after a night with Lucy
It’s sad that the youth of today don’t know the meaning of no quarter.
Illiterate, uncultured, and shallow this world has become. Have they no
shame?
3:55 it starts to sound like porn music.

This song makes my whole room feel cold.

Imagine if Janis and Robert Plant did a duet. ‘Led Joplin’.
