What’s the term for the transitions they make in tempo and even theme or
genre? (example around 3:17, 3:39, 4:02) The tempo shift is not as
uncommon as the shift in theme or genre. Am I over thinking this?
P.S. Nobody love lyrics more, but in this particular piece the music is
blowing my mind. Perhaps with age we learn new things. I’m hearing rock,
tribal, soul, folk, and some references to … @ 3:40 listen to the lead,
bass, drums all at once. That is screaming brilliant stuff… I may regret
this post in the morning.
Led zeppelin greatest band ever created best band of all times. I dont have
too defend them any more nor does there music need a defense. Because led
zeppelin and there music speak for themselves it speaks volumes for the
ages. There isnt a century coming that wont know who this band is and what
they created musically aswell as historically. People in flying cars or
ships will be listening too led zep in some strange new wave musical
formatt and they will be getting off too it and enjoying every last lick,
drum beat, bass and keyboard sound and every melodic harmonalizing kick ass
vocal and just totally great music that is led zeppelin. Powerful, Pure and
Timeless!!!!!!!!!

I don’t dance
Unless I’m totally wasted
This band was at least 20 years ahead of it’s time! I’m 21, and am proud to
say that I grew up on this band. They have influenced me greatly!
Zep were a Colossus but Jagger hung out with Royalty, the other players
knew Zep were selling more tickets than ANYONE, and still could have sold
more…. Their stars were in alignment…. I wish I’d seen them ’72/’73….
Oh well..
How can you confuse this song with the Beastie Boys??? Now I like the boys
too but fer real!!
0:00 – 0:08 Bonham is the best >>> “We’ve done 4 already but now we’re
steady, and then I went 1, 2, 3, 4″
I always think Cissy Strut when i hear this riff. No bad thing. It’s funky
as hell.
“When Zeppelin Thundered, The Gods Would Retreat!”
does ANYBODY else hear “pen15 hole [is a real fine way to start]” at 2:52
ish???
i know now that its not actualy saying that, but does ANYBODY ELSE HEAR
IT??? or am i crazy?
carl from aqua teen hunger force does this song better. look up lets get
wasted carl aqua teen hunger force.
I’m a big Beastie Boys fan and Joey Diaz had this playing in the background
of his podcast and I thought it was the Beastie Boys at first then Joey
said it was Led Zeppelin.
Good stuff.
I heard this in the car today. Yes! Brown girls love real rock too :)
Singing in the Sunshine, Laughing in the Rain. This is simply one of the
most bad-ass tunes I’ve heard.
Like if D-Pad Hero 2 brought you here!
1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
The ending of the song (the last minute and 14 seconds) is one of the most
beautiful things I’ve ever heard
This song and “Babe I’m gonna leave you” get me so pumped I just jam out to
this music.

That intro though :D
That is the sound of a Gibson Les Paul, with a fellow who truly knows what
to do with it.
