What about the song Houses of the holy?

Tom Cote says:

interesting list Larry….I don’t know Larry…some of the songs near the
bottom were freaking good – but it is Zep after all.

Dazed And Confused is easily my favorite, that guitar solo blew my mind the
first time I listened to it.

Nickelodeonman95 says:

Here’s My Top 10
10. Immigrant Song (Love the Production and how Robert Plants Vocal’s and
Jimmy Page’s Guitar fit together very well)
9. Since I’ve Been Loving You (I Love how bluesy this track is)
8. Rock and Roll (This is song is just Awesome. Jimmy’s Guitar Solo is
awesome as well as Bonzo’s druming at the very end)
7. Black Dog (I have a soft spot for of since it was the first Led Zeppelin
Song i ever heard)
6. Kashmir (I Love how the Orchestrations on this track are. Used to be my
number 1 but i played it too many times. I Still Love it though)
5. When The Levee Breaks (I Remember hearing this for the first time and i
was like “Wow. and i thought Stairway was Awesome”)
4. D’yer Mak’er (Ja-Make-r for those who wanna know how to pronounce it) (I
loved this song the first time i heard it. It is probably my favorite
Reggae Song of All-Time)
3. Whole Lotta Love (It just sounds like the quintessential song to Drive
to, to fight to, and just to be cool)
2. Over The Hills and Far Away (I have a feeling that this song speaks to
me. That’s why i have up so high)
1. Good Times Bad Times (Love it so much. I Never Skip it when listening to
LZ 1, I love how it is well…. Hard Rocking)

Honorable Mentions:
Stairway to Heaven, Going to Galifornia, Communication Breakdown, The
Battle of Evermore, Dazed and Confused

Davey McEuen says:

I used to hate Hats Off, but since the remasters came out I’ve loved it
just like everything else on Zep III.
Top Ten:
1. Ten Years Gone
2. Stairway to Heaven
3. No Quarter
4. Gallows Pole
5. Babe I’m Gonna Leave You
6. Since I’ve Been Loving You
7. Ramble On
8. Fool in the Rain
9. When the Levee Breaks
10. The Ocean

The songs of theirs I really don’t like (though even their worst would be
thousands of band’s best) are: Hot Dog, Communication Breakdown(used to
like, but now it’s just annoying), Black Country Woman, Boogie with Stu,
Candy Store Rock, Royal Orleans, Nobody’s Fault But Mine, Dancing Days, and
the Crunge.

Fritha71 says:

10. Ramble On
09. That’s The Way
08. Down by The Seaside
07. The Rover
06. Heartbreaker
05. Ten Years Gone
04. Whole Lotta Love
03. Rock And Roll
02. Kashmir
01. Since I’ve Been Loving You

How Many More Times was a great #1 though! I love the live version from the
Albert Hall gig in 1970, which is on the 2003 DVD.

kenbefound says:

This is a very difficult thing to do and so subjection I’m not sure it’s a
worthwhile exercise. Maybe a best to worst album list would have been more
interesting. Then you can justify by quality of the tracks, etc. Just my
opinion. Another choice I would call you on is why not include CODA? recent
revisions contain one of my favorites LZ tracks, Hey Hey What Can I Do (a
leftover from the LZIII album).

Daniel Hofmann says:

My very favourite Led Zeppelin songs (no rating) are:
Kashmir
Stairway to Heaven
Dazed and Confused
Immigrant Song
Whole Lotta Love
Your time is gonna come (great organ sound)
Black Dog
Gallows Pole
Babe I´m gonna leave you
All of my love (it`s very unterrated in my opinion. Great vocals and
keyboard sound)

worst songs would be: Four sticks, The Crunge and Hot dog.
And I like “How many more times”, but I don`t love it like many other fans
for some reasons

kulis tz says:

1# dazed and confused
2# tangerine
3# achilies last stand
4# stairway
5# baby im gonna leave you
6# no quartet
7#kashmir
8# whole lotta love
9# when the levee breaks
10# immigrant song

Fabio Porta says:

I like all the Led Zeppelin songs but if i have to pick my very favorites,
they are probably: Ten Years Gone, The Rain Song (what a sweet beautiful
song), Every acoustic songs from led Zeppelin III (expecially Friends,
That’s the Way and Tangerine), The Rover (one of their best heavy number),
Since i’ve Been Lovin You (that song feature one of my favorites Jimmy
Page’s guitar solo), Babe i’m Gonna Leave You, Stairway to Heaven, The
Battle of Evermore (love this track with great vocals by Sandy Denny, it
seems like a medieval song), Going to California, In My Time of Dying
(probably their best Bluesy song in my opinion), Sick Again and Ramble On.
And my least favorites songs are: All My love (and others songs from their
last album), D’yer Mak’er, Candy Store Rock (it’s kind of boring but not so
bad) and i have to say that Rock n Roll it’s a good song but i’m tired of
it because i’ve heard so many times (it’s probably the most radio played
song by them at least here in Italy). That’s my choises, thanks for the
video Larry and have a great day.

Hunter Grove says:

Moby Dick, Kashmir, and Dazed and Confused are my top three. I haven’t
rated any farther than that.

Zack Mitchell says:

I’ve been waiting for you to do a list like this for a long time! Thank you
🙂
The albums “In Through the Out Door” and “Coda”, I really hate but all the
other seven albums I absolutely adore. My favorite songs include “Babe I’m
Gonna Leave You”, “What Is and What Should Never Be”, “How Many More
Times”, “Whole Lotta Love”, “Thank You”, “The Lemon Song”, “For Your Life”,
“Trampled Under Foot”, “Custard Pie”, “In My Time of Dying”, “Friends”,
“Since I’ve Been Loving You”, “Kashmir (the Jimmy Page and Robert Plant
Unledded version)”, “Good Times Bad Times” “Ramble On”, “Whole Lotta Love”,
“Heartbreaker” and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”. Led Zeppelin is one of my top
five favorite bands.

Cal says:

not to big a fan of led zeppelin, but iv’e been trying to get into them.
did they only make 73 songs?

DrumMaster1498 says:

Larry do you think you’d be able to a black sabbath songs worst to best or
maybe a sabbath album rank?

00jets says:

You had to no I was going to comment!

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your bottom (1st page you put up) was great. It
went down hill from there! The Rain Song is easily in 99.9999999999999% of
the peoples top 20! The Lemon song is well known as the worst song from II
and Ramble on is know as one of their best! The wonton song and sick again
is on most people worst Led Zep list!!! How Many More
Times?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I think you made this list just to annoy me. Congratulations, you
succeeded!!!

Roger Fraxedas says:

My favourite Led Zeppelin song is Bron Y Aur Stomp, but when I listen to
stairway to heaven or kashmir mi mind stops for a moment and just enjoys.

Atomic Cow says:

In the light 56? Come on man!

Karl Meischen says:

Really interesting choices Larry! I love that you put the masterpiece “Ten
Years Gone” in your top four. My favorite Zeppelin songs are often the
proggier ones, especially off Physical Graffiti, my favorite Zeppelin
album. My taste in Zep is the opposite of yours; I prefer their final four
albums to their first four. This is my top 15. I know that “Hots On For
Nowhere” is an unusual choice but I *love* the groove and the guitar breaks
remind me of Steve Howe. Numbers 1-3 are all interchangeable, I love them
to death:

15. Hots On For Nowhere
14. The Ocean
13. The Rain Song
12. When The Levee Breaks
11. Stairway To Heaven
10. In The Evening
9. For Your Life
8. Achilles Last Stand
7. Kashmir
6. In My Time Of Dying
5. Sick Again
4. The Wanton Song
3. Carouselambra
2. Ten Years Gone
1. In The Light

My least favorite Zeppelin songs are “Whole Lotta Love” (really annoys me
and always has; super overrated IMHO) and “Hot Dog,” and I agree with you
on the solo from “Over The Hills And Far Away”–it’s terrible and really
lessens the overall impact of the song. He should have recorded another
take! Also have a love/hate relationship with “D’yer Ma’ker,” which is
undoubtedly catchy but sometimes incredibly cloying, cutesy and annoying.
They lyrics are so repetitive, it gets to be a bit much if I’m not in the
right mood.

BradLennon says:

I can never seem to get into The Lemon Song and Immigrant Song, however I
love Moby Dick and No Quarter! Great list.

DrumMaster1498 says:

Just the ozzy years

Mr Excitement Band says:

My Top ten:

1. Kashmir
2. Misty Mountain Hop
3. The Lemon Song
4. Bron Yaur Stomp
5. Tangerine
6. The Ocean
7. When the Levee Breaks
8. Baby, I’m Leaving You
9. Immigrant Song
10. Gallows Pole
