OUT OF CURIOSITY -, I recently checked-out a web-page listing all of the
“single” records released by Led Zeppelin in the U.S.. (By the way, I am a
50-ish aged person -, so I actually lived-through Led Zep’s entire career.)
There were a few songs that WEREN’T on that list (such as “All of My Love”
{from the “In Through the Out Door” album} ), that I though surely WOULD be
on it. However, this page’s song -, “Candy Store Rock” -, WAS on the list
of U.S. “singles”.
~ Frankly, I listened to radio A LOT during 1976; and I still have a good
memory-capability. Yet, I have absolutely NO RECOLLECTION of ever having
previously heard this song. The song that I THOUGHT was the ” ‘hit’ single”
from the “Presence” album, was “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”.
~ By the way, here is a “link” to that “list webpage”. (Thank goodness we
can now post “links” on YouTube “comments”.) http://web.stargate.net/zeppelin/discography/singles/index.html
