Can’t believe just how good the alternate take of “When the Levee Breaks”
is. And yes, I get it that THIS IS the original, and they used the cleaned
up version on the actual album.
I love the fact that in this version they use the HARMONICAS instead of the
slide guitar just before falsetto vocals which are simply amazing and TRULY
RAW with different lyrics!
I love the line “you’re gonna die” as Plant laughs.
The base line with the slide guitar in this version is a little sped up and
simply MESMERIZING.
Thank you for the upload, brother.
I listen to this song EVERY day.
Led Zeppelin simply the best band that ever was.
now we’re getting somewhere….
many thanxXx.
You said there were 18 CDs? Where are the other 9?? I’m loving these.
Especially No Quarter (on the the other IV video)
does this have tremolo on it?
are there digital downloads of these vinyls somewhere? I know you had to
rip these digitally, but are there WAVs of them somewhere? They’re
absolutely delightful to listen to.
no sound after black dog.
