Strange seeing Jimmy without his Les Paul…look up Gibson Les Paul in a
dictionary and you will see Jimmy Page, lol

It’s interesting to compare this with Jimmy Page and the Yardbirds with
Keith Relf on vocals. Look it up!

How good is the fuzz on that telecaster gentlemen

SolidSnake684 says:

Probably my favorite live performance of them. They just killed it!

LedGuitarlessons says:

I noticed that Jimmy’s high E string and maybe even his B string were
actually slightly out of tune by listening to the harmonics at the
beginning of the song, but hey brother, that’s rock and roll!

I love this and love that he is playing a Tele here. He really had great
tones with his Tele. I wish he’d used it more. Fact: Jimmy Page created the
solo for Stairway on a Tele. Said he didn’t have anything good going on
that until he picked up his Tele.

Terry Fitzgerald says:

Great video. I saw them live in 1970 in USA, and they played this song ,
along with most of Led Zep I and II albums. I think I was most impressed
with John Bonham’s drumming to be honest.

The birth of the “ferocious four”! As they’d soon be called!
Now you know why!

CStubbsSubs says:

Back when their live performance kicked ass. Once they became uber famous,
they got lazy with shows. However, recordings were sick all the way to end!

Great recording of a milestone. But the bass is way to low. The bassriff in
the beginning is essential for the whole feeling of the song.

Madeleine Hague says:

Fabulous! Led Zep I, still my fave LZ album.

Look at how serious they all look.

ramiro martinez says:

theres no doubt that the Les Paul is an amazing guitar
but theres something really raw and fierce in the Telecaster tone in these
early zep tunes !

InDivisionBear says:

Bonham is so fucking good

Wow, goosebumps.

rodd7 says:

What a Voice, he is the greatest rock singer of all time.

advacoRRR says:

The Telecaster was the perfect guitar for Page early in Zep’s days when
they were more raw. He really got a good sound out of that thing. Heavy
fuzzy distortion for serious, unsophisticated (compared to their later
stuff) rock. Supposedly when he found out his friend ruined the guitar by
painting it, he couldn’t find another Telecaster with quite that same
sound.

fattwat1 says:

Amazing version

Iago B says:

“Supershow” was the name of the show.

Stephen Pickells says:

Sometimes Robert thinks ‘what am I doing here?’

Alan Andrade says:

Regardless of this and that we hear and read about led zeppelin. We can all
admit they were great entertainers.

a wackoworld says:

he got some great tone out of that tele….likin it more than the LP…this
has to be their best live perform
