Strange funny that people are scrambling for cushions to sit on before the
show begins; when if you juxtaposed it into today, most people would trade
their left arm to be at this gig. Just goes to show that we all need to get
out and support live music, ’cause you never know who’ll be the next
“legendary band”!
I just entered high school in 1969, the year of this gig. This was an
interesting time for Rock music. Bands coming out of Britain, like The
Cream, Led Zeppelin, The Who, were beginning to catch on big rime in the
US! This is a raw Led Zeppelin version of a song that is very appropriate
today, as it was then the year of Woodstock and international protests and
demonstration against the Vietnam war. Martin Luther kind was assassinated
the year before as was Robert Kennedy! “Communication Breakdown,” between
the three superpowers, and the presence of Nuclear weapons, can lead the
world into desolation if we all don’t learn to get along!
Bohnam almost has a hate for those drums the way he plays them. It’s like
he’s thinking, “I can play as hard as I want, these drum heads replace
themselves… right?”
LED ZEPPELIN LOST PERFORMANCES é um grupo de 05 vídeos ao vivo no ano de
1969 executados nos estúdios da Denmark Radio.
São versões ‘fodásticas’ de clássicos da banda. Esta abre a apresentação,
porém “Baby I’m Gonna Leave You” é minha preferida…

Led Zeppelin – Communication Breakdown “1969” [ Good Quality ]
i believe this was just before/after their first album came out. not yet
the rock gods they would become, playing live on mainstream pop shows. even
their uk tours at this time would probably consisted of local ballrooms,
YMCAs, working men’s clubs etc., i.e. on the established circuit but not
necessarily the big theatres of the time, usually overnight van drives
between venues at opposite ends of the country
@PinknessOfFloyd I think because Robert and Bonham already knew how each
other worked so they already had chemistry. And JPJ and JP would always see
each other at sessions. But its amazing how all four of them just had
infinite chemistry.
i hate when people my age complain about how nobody listens to rock anymore
and how they’re the last kids in the world who like it, turn on the fucking
radio and you’ll see that it’s still the most popular type of music in the
world.

I would fall asleep to this song–every nite.
1969—I was like 15-years old.
Actually the complete album….on a tiny turn table.
My God, is that the legendary telecaster given to Page by Jeff Beck, and
used to record the ‘Stairway’ solo? *nerdgasm* I need a life.
…….and in this moment the hardrock was born!
omg. I saw John Paul Jones move.
