Unlike almost all of us, Jimmy Page thinks there’s at least one bad song on *Led
Zeppelin II*, and it’s this’s short little ditty about an aging groupie.
Jimmy despised it so much, that they never played it live and he left it
completely off of their 1990 box set. Still, this classic became a HUGE hit
on AOR radio, and it’s still a staple on Classic Rock stations today.

Led Zeppelin took a lot of old Blues songs (They never denied that) and
added that new thing called Rock and Roll to them. The changes happening in
music from 1962 to 1970 was phenomenal. AM radio was all we had, radio
stations in larger metro area would play The Beatles, then Supremes, then
Johnny Cash in a row. Looking back, it seemed like it was a long time, but
those 8 years flew by, Jimmy Page’s outstanding Guitar work is only one of
the reasons Led Zep are idolized. Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mark Farner,
Jimi Hendrix, to name but a few, to the fairly ne Electric Guitar and
created some unforgettable sounds with it. It’s hard to see something new
45 years later when so much was created in the early days of Rock and Roll.
If you ever get a weekend to relax, listen to Canned Heat, The Animals,
Little Feat, Frijid Pink, Mountain,Chambers Brothers, Spirit, Camel, ..the
list is endless. I mean no offense to any music lover, I just want you to
enjoy some of the music from my youth that influenced Most of the music of
today. You just might find that you like the OLD Peoples music after all.

that older bands got away with saying.
she’s just a fuc**ng woman! yeah!
Salad thinks it’s okay for classic rock bands to say certain things, but
pans modern rock bands for expressing themselves.
They never played live and one of them said they can’t stand it. I
personally think the song is GOD-LIKE !!

Why are Led Zeppelin being praised for saying “She’s just a woman”, yet
Nickelback get panned for saying that? Just because Led Zeppelin are
classic rock means nothing. Stupid lyrics are stupid lyrics, whether the
bands are classic or modern.
