This is Jimmy Page’s solo from Thank You on the BBC Sessions album. I used a 50 watt plexi clone from ceriatone. This is probably Page’s best solo.

This is awesome! Great job. I know, im 4 years late but still, you did
great. Just wished you’d put a bit more distortion on it, give it more
bite.

bufton6 says:

Bollocks. Now I’m going to have to learn this… Cracking job and you’re
right, it *probably* is JP’s best solo, aside from TSRTS’s version of No
Quarter.

mulholland1985 says:

really nice dude..keep posting more..

Manuel Suarez says:

Looks like a young jimmy page

daneguitar says:

good job kid!!!!

docd357 says:

NIce work!

Theloniousfunkk says:

@effeXxX the ceriatone? i have sold that amp, its too much for me!

Frank Benally says:

You should of used that Edwards in the background.

PinkStratPheby says:

Really good m8 !!! I disagree with you tough , this is defently not pages
best solo , I’m thinking heartbreaker , communication or defently stairway
to heaven

sinisterbotanist says:

If you literally agree with my previous comment, I have lost hope in you
being able to listen to music and like it even if the performers aren’t
totally rocking out with their low guitar straps. I suppose if you value
looks over the only important thing about music (which is the music), you
won’t really care about the prog rock bands like King Crimson.

Packrat559 says:

Very well played… not very often that I see a YouTube guitarist who gets
Jimmy Page right.

Philip Padgett says:

Hey very nice work you ever thought about doing a tribute band or an
original???

Gabriel Pinheiro says:

Yeah it would be better, think with me, he is already good, but in a concert
for example he cannot only play well, he have to look good for call peoples
attention, you know what I mean? Do you think Jimmy Page would be popular
like he is, with a guitar up and no energy playing live? thats what I mean,
is not only about playing well or looking good you have to mix these two
things togethers, I’m sorry but this is the true.

Theloniousfunkk says:

@daneguitar thanks man!

Riley Nagle says:

nice playing man. but needs just a little more edge to the tone, possibly a
OD or a fuzz.

Theloniousfunkk says:

@lNllClK I think he used a les paul for this song

xebec30 says:

@Theloniousfunkk You’ll get more Ladies?

PinkStratPheby says:

Sweet cover man ! Keep rewatching this and thinking…..this is defo jimmy
pages son ! You look exactly like him in the early days !

Jill Chambers says:

that was great. i had a huge smile on my face the entire time until it
ended…i wanted to hear more. keep going you’re really good.

sinisterbotanist says:

It’d be better if he held his guitar lower? That’s why hardcore music is so
popular today, because holding your guitar lower automatically makes your
music a lot cooler.

Bonzosbadgeholder says:

Great job! It’s great to see young guitar players like you keeping the
mighty Zep alive. This is my favorite Jimmy solo ever and you did a great
job.

sinisterbotanist says:

Right, that’s why classical musicians and basically anyone who’d rather
perform comfortably will never truly become rock stars. Just look at Steve
Howe from Yes. Once he started playing his guitar close to his chest, he
lost all of his energy and no one appreciates him because of it. And Robert
Fripp, who sits in a damn CHAIR while he performs! To even think people
like King Crimson..wow

hinney827 says:

so well done. and i feel pretty certain page used the tele in the bbc
sessions. the one with the dragon and whatnot all over it. either way,
great cover 🙂

Theloniousfunkk says:

@xebec30 hahahaha sure man!

Theloniousfunkk says:

@Bonzosbadgeholder Thanks man, Its my favorite Jimmy page solo too!

evoxpress says:

hi, may i know where did u get the backing track? great playing by the way

Sebastian Öström says:

Sounds really good, and you even look a lot like a young Jimmy Page (ca
68/69)! What kind of pickups in that Tele?

Josh Levin says:

man that’s probably the riskiest solo to cover. great job

seb cristol says:

you remind me of Albert Hammond Jr ^^ nice cover dude

Gabriel Pinheiro says:

cool, put it would be greater if the guitar wash’t so high, cheers from
brazil

Gabriel Pinheiro says:

Agree

Theloniousfunkk says:

@hookem6903 thanks! really appreciate it! its also my favorite solo

JimmyPage97 says:

nice thelonious

Theloniousfunkk says:

@Renhjarta thanks man! i think i was trying to at the time. At this time i
had pickups made by “OC Duff,” they sound pretty damn good. dont buy em,
the guy really screwed me over on customer service.

olc mac tíre says:

You really are fuckin awesome man!

Theloniousfunkk says:

@hinney827 I dont know… i think page stopped using the tele before led
zeppelin II came out. I would love to see some pictures of his gear for
that concert on disc 2!

Theloniousfunkk says:

@PinkStratPheby thanks man! but this solo has much more thought put in to
it. the double stops are incredible, and unlike all those other solos

Gabriel Pinheiro says:

I like look so do I like technical, my only objective in my previous
comment was see that dude in the video shine in a future to come, I love
john myung for example, and he is recluse to the crowd but still one of the
best bass players I have ever heard. When I see a good guitarist on
youtube, I only wish him my bests, that is why I comment him to put the
strap a little lower.

thharleydavidson says:

Sounds great kid!! Keep on Jammin’ man!!

Theloniousfunkk says:

@Z0S0The0utrider69 thats not my thing man!

effeXxX says:

haha we have the same amp 😉

Mickey Doherty says:

Damn that’s amazing kid keep it up

Theloniousfunkk says:

@LemmySlashPage Thanks man, it really means a lot to me. you have no idea
how long i worked on this solo before i recorded this = )

Zoso The Outrider says:

this cover is cool but if you really wanna look badass try wearing the
guitar a bit lower. 😀

lNllClK says:

did he play this on the les paul or tele i wonder…

Theloniousfunkk says:

@1965Z16 Its just a loop I made with a Boss loop pedal. Isn’t it crazy how
many songs share the same D C G chord pattern?

razumfrackle says:

Bogus! Youtubers, don’t be fooled. This is a 30 y/o rock star in a kid
costume.

milksteak424 says:

Mini jimmy

leokimvideo says:

wow, that was pretty cool

PhoenixBufferOverflow says:
