+Saifran Noor U r right my friend..For others who don’t know Kashmir is a
beautiful province situated in the Himalayas. It has parts belonging to
both India and Pakistan. This is unfortunate as one cannot travel all of it
at once. Wish there wasn’t any partition. Nevertheless its a beautiful
place with great people.
Drug induced lyrics are impossible to understand but great fun to listen to
kathmandoo..this is a song of symbolic meaning…Kashmir is obviously
representative of something. He speaks directly about a mythical place
prior to speaking of Kashmir, Can’t say that I know what he means, but the
whole song is full of imagery that isn’t quite clear. It seems to be
relating an experience that those who experience it will know exactly what
he is referring to.

I LOVE this song but I wonder if Robert ever went to Kashmir as it is VERY
high in the Himalayas and it it freezing cold. It certainly is dry due to
the rain shadow but the way the words are written suggests a desert of
sand. Wrong. I have been there.
