..you were saying about jimmy improvising the solo, on the video… Take a
look at another Jimmy (Hendrix), and Hey Joe—never ever ever played it
the same, twice… To improvise, is to really “play” the guitar..its a form
of expression–and not many people realise this.. So long as there are
hints and recognize-ability of the original, then its fine… You have a
good way of teaching…thanks for this one…
dude could you post some ideas for the solo part? you said to request it if
we wanted. also any of you other people that have a good video on some solo
parts for this song that would be ace as well. Thanks for all the good
stuff you put on here, and I bought your online training kit, pretty good
and it developed my playing. Put some more blues licks on there, I don’t
want to cave on the DVDs.
marty, love your videos for guitar. does anyone know of someone on yt with
the same talent, quality and thoroughness for bass lessons? bassists need
this kind of love too man
I got a question here, When u play that open E-string, you play it twice
then hit the E5-powerchord, I’ve seen other people playing it open three
times then to the power chord. I have listened to the song alot but I cant
really figure out if Jimmy plays that one note that you dont. Anyone feel
free to help me please!
Is he like A.D.D. I mean he’s always ripping these awesomely tasty solos
just randomly in all his lessons he’s like “now after that you” and rips a
solo!!
Good lesson but to make it sound fatter play the open D string at the same
time as the A on the 5th fret and give the A a very slight bend, this is
the way Jimmy plays it and it really gives a deeper tone.
Page plays this by strumming the 7th on the E, then the 5th on the A with
the open D string, and slightly bending the A string maybe 1/4 step. Try it
out, you’ll hear the difference.

sooo awesome thank you very much
Took me less than 5 minutes to learn sooooo easy
when you put your finger on a string right at the start.. so 7 on E then 5
on A .. doesn’t jimmy pick the D under it as well.. like a double D?
like if you learned the solo first
@RETZBAC it is

@guitarbeyguypro1243 No. Tis’ a Fender Strat.
Isn’t the 5th fret of the A string actually a bend up?I can’t remember
where i read this but i think Jimmy said that that’s the way he plays it.
