*Buonasera community..* Oggi ascoltiamo un altra colonna portante del rock:
i *Led Zeppelin*.

What an amazing song, it’s a shame you don’t hear about this song as much
as their other hits when this is just as good if not better than some of
their hit songs. Jimmy Page is a true guitar hero, he has such a diverse
way of playing and the solo is epic.

dan marva says:

this beats kashmir in my opinion

Damon Kelly says:

Ode to a past love. I still think of you. Oh, darling.

Lorraine Ashby says:

Renan Planche says:

The solid construction of the harmony, chords and melody… sometimes I
wonder if Jimmy studied hard the song while composing it, or if he’s got
such an amazing feeling that these beautiful notes just come to him
naturally. This is one of my favorite rock songs ever.

Christina Carusp says:

this is my favorite zep tune. there are no bad zeppelin songs but this one
does wonders for my soul.

David Batey says:

Takes me back to another time like no other song. Strangely sad, but
beautiful.

DENISE BLONDIE says:

KEVIN its been 10 YEARS GONE but it’s oh so good the 2nd time around!

joe stahl says:

Originally intended to be an instrumental piece, Jimmy Page used some 14
guitar tracks to overdub the harmony section.[2] Robert Plant later added
lyrics, which are dedicated to an old girlfriend who, ten years earlier,
had made him choose either her or his music. Plant explained this in an
interview he gave in 1975:

Let me tell you a little story behind the song “Ten Years Gone” on our new
album. I was working my ass off before joining Zeppelin. A lady I really
dearly loved said, “Right. It’s me or your fans.” Not that I had fans, but
I said, “I can’t stop, I’ve got to keep going.” She’s quite content these
days, I imagine. She’s got a washing machine that works by itself and a
little sports car. We wouldn’t have anything to say anymore. I could
probably relate to her, but she couldn’t relate to me. I’d be smiling too
much. Ten years gone, I’m afraid. Anyway, there’s a gamble for you.[3]

In another interview, Plant credited Page with the song’s intricate
construction:

Jimmy is the man who is the music. He goes away to his house and works on
it a lot and then brings it to the band in its skeletal state. Slowly
everybody brings their personality into it. This new flower sort of grows
out of it. “Ten Years Gone” was painstakingly pieced together from sections
he’d written.[4

Arhus Babcock says:

Out of all their solos. This one’s a bitch to play, surprisingly.

Darren De Visser says:

I have heard this album…..fuck, gotta be a million times! I will never
tire of it!

Derek Gornall says:

I heard this song for the first time on Pandora only a week ago. It is
already my favorite LZ song ever. Whenever I think back on Spring Break
2015, this will be the song I remember.

dominic romani says:

amazing?! It was my favorite Zep album from the moment I first heard it.

Debora Valencay says:

The best!

Reuben, Truman Hopper says:

The guitar part just sounds so British. I have never thought that of any
other song before.

John G. Lewis says:

I remember Robert Plant commentating, in Pagey’s 90’s 4 CD compilation,
that this song was “painfully stitched together … it took a lot of work.”
But what a result…! Among of the top of Led Zeppelin’s tier two songs.

XanaduMountain says:

Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands, but HA HA is this a RIP OFF of Dear
