Page contributed to humanity as much as if he had discovered a cure for
cancer
After listening to great bands like Zeppelin, I really don’t understand the
fixation with Katy Perry or fucking pop/rap music in general.. I mean,
there’s absolutely no substance to it. It’s depressing just to listen to,
and know that somewhere, someone is actually enjoying it.
Steve Marriott wasn’t home when Page called.
So he called Plant. Nailed it.
Simple as that.

Was also on records by The Who, The Kinks, did solo on Donovan’s “Hurdy
Gurdy Man” (with JP Jones producing), did solo on Joe Cocker’s studio
version of “With A Little Help From My Friends”, was even on Tom Jones’
“It’s Not Unusual” !
And so much more.

Terry Reid sounds a lot like Plant, looks like Page knew very well what
kind of singing and voice he was looking for.

Terry Reid may have been a better choice for Page…but I guess we’ll never
know; what’s done is done…and Plant served Zeppelin well in retrospect.
