This is the best Led Zeppelin performance I’ve heard so far. The band played three concerts in LA, this is the third from the 27th March 1975. The show is also known as ‘Deep Throat’, because the band was introduced by Linda Lovelace. 🙂

This is an Incredible Concert !
Fuckin’ Crank It . . . Sound wikked Good LOUD
Love this concert. I think because my favorite songs are on it more than
anything. Then again, is there even such thing as a bad Zeppelin
concert…..?
Gawd Jimmy’s solo on Over the Hill is the best. I was really carried over
the hills on that one. Wowzers.
whoops — thought this was from ’71! NO FEEDBACK
Agree completely w/Jim. No debate about it really.
Having been lucky enough to have heard Plant sing on the 71 and 72 tours, I
must consider myself a very fortunate Zep fan indeed. Those early days were
a magic time for him and his incredible singing.
And Page could turn a tight and mean solo into something unbelievable every
night.
Saw them between 73-77 and Plant had lost most of his voice. Vocally, 75
was certainly not his best tour.
And Page had extended his solos so long they just seem to ramble on for
ever
But this is LED ZEPPELIN we’re talking about.
The “best rock band ever” is simply an understatement.
I’m sure it’s been said and debated over and over but Plant’s inability to
sing in the high registers live after 1972 just kills it for me in these
concerts. The band sounds fantastic but this had to hurt them to hear him
singing the material like this.
this is heavy rockin!
OK-GREAT CONCERT! My H S pal made it on stage to kiss Robert P. She did
that a few times, only 2 B tossed off. LOL Jimmy P coocked!(intentional
sp.) They ALL did! Thanks 4 trip down Mem. Rd! NOW I HEAR EVERY GUITAR
BOO- BOO,, BUT IT’S OK! good fun
Good moby dick solo, bonham inventing hip hop beats for fun
Hey take a look at the pic , it’s the same stage , Deep Purple played on in
1972 in Copenhagen , during their Machine Head tour
zep played san diego on monday…they went to L.A…played this
show….then played S.D. on friday……them at one of their MANY peaks
I’ve heard a Whole Lotta Zeppelin in my Time Of Living {I Guess I could
say} . . .
This is an Incredible Sounding Performance, They were all Juss really
Loose right after Intro, It Does’nt Really get better than That. {{ I’m
From Manchester, New Hampshire}}
I’m a huge fan of Zep. Worshiped Jimmy. I can’t count the number of times I
watched Song Remains the Same as a kid having only one regret in life that
I wasn’t born Jimmy Page. Growing up I had a poster of Jimmy in his Zoso
pants hanging on my wall. Over the years I learned nearly every song Zep
ever put out. But I am always saddened by the fact that in concert Jimmy
was often too high to play decently. Alas

While the 1975 American Tour beholds some of the bands worst performances
because of Pages broken finger, Plant contracting influenza on his first
tour post vocal chord operation causing giving him a raspy cracking voice
and being their first performances in 18 months it does hold some good
performances such as this one what a great way to end of the tour they were
stronger in 1977 on some dates I think after 1973 the band was more loose
in their performances despite all this they are still the best rock band
ever!
Born and raised in so. cal I understand how its easy to be biased about the
L.A. show in 75′..That being said at 50 yrs old I cant listen to any Zep
and not get emotional. Since about 14 yrs old until this day they are still
the greatest band in the world. That’s just my opinion. I just
imagine…What if John was still around… what great music would be
available? Bottom line is this, Zep did shit their own way and it was
absolutely fucking wonderful!!!!
robert and jimmy really were pretty terrible live
does Ritchie Blackmore get mentioned in the same breath as Jimmy Page?
This show was about 4 weeks after I saw them in Houston and they were
pretty run down, with Robert having gone horse, Jimmy with a busted ring
finger being slammed in a door on a prior train trip. Anyway, the crowd was
pretty forgiving despite all that
and having to wait some 30-40 minutes of promises to appear at any time now.
The light show was awesome I remember. They didn’t have all that
computerized
light switching but actually had a bunch of guys up the scaffold manually
switching lights to go along with the songs.

i remember this concert and from what i remember they were really bad that
night. i was ice skating at paramount iceland on wednesday night and a kid
was talking about seeing them tuesday i think,he told us how great they
were and we were really hyped to see them i think it was friday? my buddy
and me went and waited from 7:00 to about 9:00 if i remember right the
ticket was for 7:30 no opening act. we did sit at the other end of the
forum and the bass was rattling our seats. I dont think they played more
then 2 hours, i know the youtube post says over 3 but i think it was over
before midnight!
compare this to the song remains the same concert movie, they do some of
the same Shtick, but hearing these variations of there songs on these live
versions is worth it, especially DAZED AND CONFUSED (the violin bow section
is identicle to the concert movie version) but this is so cool still to
hear these stuff. any new version of STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN (people go postal
when they hear it) and especially NO QUARTER is worth any bootleg!!!
love when he apologies and some guy says “it’s alright”—“communication”
Man, bootlegs have the incredible feeling to hear how the audience react to
the beggining of the songs :3
Jimmy page should clean this up and release it as an album, wow this is a
monster, I’m a Zeppelin fan and never heard this concert, what a
gem..thanks for putting it up..
Really???? Thanks for the upload!!! I’m a huge zep fan, I have almost every
concert they have ever performed on bootleg. And people think this is their
best in 75????? WTF!!!!! First off, Earls Court 5 Night show is probably
the best of 75. The 25th of may! AWESOME concert. 75 was a great year for
them!!!! And as far as Jimmy goes, Yeah some of his guitar playing from
this year is sloppy, But thats his style and he isnt sloppy most of the
time, i think it was when he was too high or drunk he got sloppy ya know?
But listen to White Summer/Black mountain side from Royal Albert Hall
01.09.1971 and you’ll fall in love with Jimmy! LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!!!!
All I have to say is I’m about an hour into this and think it is amazing!
The last seven songs last nearly 2.5 hours, for an average of over 20
minutes per song. Amazing how it flys by despite that!
I was at this show and the first one on the 24th.
where is COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN?
They played so loud my ears buzzed for days afterwards. 😮
What?
I wish I would’ve been there…. But I wasn’t bored until 1980 :/
#zeppelinfan4life
Kick-ass! Especially No Quarter and Stairway to Heaven.
Probably the greatest concert from their entire ’75 American tour!
really allnightwatchman this is the best you have heard?? *rolls eyes*
Hey, Byron, you’re absolutely right about LA. This is one of the better
shows from 1975, so is Seattle, but I think the last show of the first leg
in St. Louis is in the same league. The soundboard I have of it has an
uncommonly full, rich sound quality.
PUSH!
GREAT SHOW!
One comment that Plant makes during one of the Osaka 71 shows is something
like, “We’ve just come from America, which is no fault of our own…” kind
of apologizing to the Japs about having been in America. I thought to
myself, screw him! He made millions in America and had a great time for
himself. Americans LOVE Led Zeppelin and he’s going to kiss Jap ass and
talk crap about America. Screw him – but I still love Led Zeppelin.
Forum?
This is the greatest version of No Quarter… they simply flow throw the
tides of John Paul Jones… EPIC.
Response to “lordjoshua4204 – great concert, but beeing from new york,i
didnt like roberts comment about new york that he made before “in my time
of dying”
I think that comment was actually referring to a single specific situation
at the end of the 73 tour i.e. when they had over $200,000 stolen from
them. Otherwise I think they loved NY.
God plant sucked even in 75 fuck his last year of great singing was 73
However he was still great in the studio
wow that’s incredible! thank you for upload
