This still has every much of an impact on listening to it tonight as it
ever did so many years ago.
It really “grew” on me and I played it over and over again..not just this
track but the entire album……the more I heard it the more it took me
over.
It brings back such memories and I feel no different on hearing it now.
Such nostalgia and so bittersweet as are all memories going back to
anyone’s younger years.
Such a powerful band that will live on forever.
Looking for a Led Zeppelin song that I don’t care for is like looking for
the Pot Of Gold at the end of the Rainbow !!!! Just in time for St.
Patty’s Day for that one HuH??
Don’t get me wrong, I love every LZ album but IMO Presence was their last
good album – I think ITTO was forced and probably to keep the record
company happy, CODA Bleuhh!! The bluesy ‘Tea for one’ reminds me so much of
‘Since I’ve been loving you’.
I was looking for Zeperella’s cover. Couldn’t find one, but so glad I heard
this today! I can’t believe they didn’t cover this one! Those chicks are
*amazing!*
I think this is a great album. The only fault I find with it is that it’s
keyboard-heavy, but Page was strung out on heroin at the time and missed a
lot of sessions. Beyond that, there’s some great songs on this album.
To me Jimmy’s very last weep starts at 4:21. the solo speaks of that as
well… a very eerie but bitter sweet feel. his swan solo, lol. Think about
it being the last album and all, except for CODA. ITs as if the magician
lost his powers afterwards. That being said, he is by far my favorite
guitarist.

Def Leppard stole part of the riff for Rock Of Ages!

Isn’t it just amazing how something so “heavy” can,at the same time, make
the heart ache? Hidden emotion in a bit of power—-!

Forever will remind me of Erik from TrueBlood now. Song is badass to begin
with, but so was his rage.
