The 70’s Lord of the Rings animated movie was almost scored by Led
Zeppelin, but alas, record label complications… Ralph Bakshi (the
director) says that he hated the final score used, as it was “too cliche”.
I would have been so much happier had the song been Battle Of Evermore or
Ramble On, which are very much about Lord Of The Rings. And as nick33304
said below, I also think that LoTR should have been scored with Led
Zeppelin songs. Lol.
this video shouldn’t exist. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good video, but
immigrant song is not part of Led Zeppelin IV, and thus, not part of “The
Fellowship of the IV” (which is the movie sync-ed to the album)
Its good, but don’t get a big head. At some points, like Sauron’s
appearance, you didn’t even try to synch, and some of your clips were too
long. It started out with a lot of power though, just seemed to lose steam
near the end. I’m being so technical ’cause I used to make things like this
too, though I never got very good. If you go to my profile and watch mine
you’ll see I made a lot of the mistakes you made here, so don’t think I’m
being condescending, just trying to help. Great action!
come to think about it. led zeppelin wrote a lot of songs about lord of the
rings like “ramble on”, “the battle of evermore” and “immigrant song”
there’s probably a lot more too.
Same here. I said ‘Yes!’ when that hit. Though thats Isildur’s father
Elendil raising the sword. He was quickly dispatched to ‘Valhalla’ shorthly
thereafter by Sauron.
kudos!
lol funny video

great job
never noticed when Jones comes in on that bass at :19. like a galloping of
Viking horses.
Led Zeppelin is to Lord of the Rings as Rush is to Star Wars
I’m impressed.
this is the video that introduced me to led zeppelin…3 years ago…I will
never be able to thank you enough, darthbasua
shit! Peter Jackson rocks like Jimmy Page!
Live version is better, but it made the whole thing into a nice party lol
Hah. Great combination. 🙂
This starts so well. You’ve used some great clips, but they often go for
far too long. Some snazzy editing wouldn’t go astray! 🙂

that was kick@ass! Led Zeppelin songs have a habit of sounding incredibly
epic, and contain LOTR references. I loved this!
To fight the horde and sing and cry, Valhalla, I am coming

I always thought that The Lord of the Rings should’ve been scored by Led
Zeppelin.
