On what Robert calls “the definitive Zeppelin song”, the band went all out
for the huge sound by bringing in outside strings and brass. Plant’s lyrics
were born from an endless car ride through southern Morocco, and his
15-second howl around the four-minute mark may be his most spectacular
vocal moment.

There’s an exceptional live video of this on YT, but as I said last night,
back in olden times, all we had was the music. For this one, the music is
all you need to create all the imagery you require.

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face, stars fill my dreams
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait, all will be revealed

*FNS: The Chill*

Led Zeppelin – “Kashmir”

Let’s face it, February is damn cold for many of us, and sometimes we just
need that perfect song to take the chill off the night. If you’re in the
other hemisphere, this show is all about songs that help you escape the
heat! Tonight might be a mix of trance, blues, rock n’ roll, acid rock –
you name it. Whatever allows us to “chill out.”
