Arguably the greatest rock drummer ever and an amazing source of
inspiration.This man had everything: rhytmn inside,sense and feeling for
the groove,raw power,hand speed,control,tecnhique,swing and taste.He was
born to be great and he became the greatest.

Regardless of whoever YOU find to be the best drummer of all time, it is
always safe to say that John Bonham was (and still is) among the most
talented drummer of all time. But I’m sure I can speak for everyone when i
say that Led Zeppelin was the perfect fit for Bonzo. He will be remembered
not just by his fans but by drummers everywhere, forever. RIP John Henry

his own right…….. I’m just sayin……..
neil’s early solos were awesome. nothing beat him on his tama kit from 79
to 82. the sound of those concert toms and the way he moved around them was
just pure heaven. that being said, bonzo was the king of the basic rock
kit, especially with his foot work. I listened to a concert from 77 and was
shocked at how good he was. he became a lot more progressive in his playing
even though the band itself wasn’t as good as the early years.
Bonham is a peice of shit cause he used double snare alot
Comparing great artists like Bonzo and Pert is like comparing filet mignon
to stone crab… when you’re craving McDonalds.
It’s useless, and in the end it all comes down to opinion.

It’s funny how everyone feels the need to compare John Bonham with Neil
Peart or any other drummer for that matter. Really there are many
phenomenal drummers from the jazz era that inspired Bonham and everyone
else. Peart really is technically the better drummer but that’s irrelevant
because in the context of led zeppelins music Bonham is the only man for
the job. His style and sound are incredibly distinct and even the fact that
you can say that about a drummer is amazing. Peart’s solos are more about
rhythmic virtuosity whereas Bonham is a complete powerhouse, he plays like
a thunderstorm. But don’t forget that Bonham was a pioneering rock drummer
and all drummers who followed him bare his influence including Neil Peart
who had said he admired Bonhams drumming. Just the fact that 45 years after
he played this we are still here watching and discussing is a testament to
Bonham’s distinctive and truly incredible playing.
I can’t believe that someone can play the drums for that long and that well
! Fair enough it wasn’t perfect but for god sake it was GOOD !
