I think Jimmy Page is absolutely gorgeous…very sexy and very nuts lol.
He’s fab.
IMHO, I believe this show (assuming you bought the box set of the gig),
should be their last. A lot of people want to see them “one more time”, or
what have you. But, the O2 gig is SO damn good, why not just let it go at
that. It’s been a long time since that gig, especially for guys their age.
Robert was full of life in that concert. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong. But
they did it right with recording the 02 as well as they did, to be their
last gig. It is a masterpiece, and they were (of course Jason included) all
in the zone with their performance’s.
So glad they did this show. Their rendition of “No Quarter” at this
concert was sublime, a landmark moment in rock, certainly the best version
the ever did live that I have heard.
people are saying Jimmy looks high, he’s nervous guys. There was a lot of
pressure built up in this interview and performance considering it was
going to be there last one. I think he just wanted it to go well so badly
some of the nervous ticks came out.

Page still looks very attractiv – Plant lost his seducing appearance
they all kind of remind me of monty python getting back together after a
few years having a laugh and a giggle about old times, shows what down to
earth guys they really are considering they wrote some of the most
fantastic pieces of music of all time. It’s a reflective one as well to see
3 late middle aged men sitting there instead of 4.

Jimmy Page is a good looking guy for his age and all he’s been through
jonsey always seems so detached and barely cares to comment once he is with
his band. alone he is a bit different. robert coulda cleaned up a bit so he
looked like a long hair, not a mangy dead head. jimmy quivers and moves
around so much i thought he ought to pick up a guitar and shrug like in the
song remains the same. LED ZEPPELIN RULES! ZOSO!

show some respect please. if you dont like it go watch cartoons… he looks
great and he has plenty of magic left to show us
Mostly stupid questions as usual. Why the hell doesn’t ANYBODY ask about
specific songs and the motivation behind the lyrics, ie: Tolkien inspired
lyrics, which song was written about what reference in the trilogy, if at
all? Did you guys get a RUSH when you heard it was coming to life on the
big screen? Damn, another lost opportunity wasted by ignorant media whores!

you watch Robert’s interviews since the 90’s, he fusses a lot over growin
old.. Good humor, yes, but he’s thinking about it. Robert, Age is an issue
of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter! I like Jimmy in
this one out of the three (he is always super cool!!!) ‘cos he seems so
positive competitively, like he is still in the game, defending LZ in a way
of being ready to look forward with it.. Like its all just a long
instrumental section we are in and the Riff is yet to come!
‘Stealing’ song lyrics? I don’t believe I have heard, well read such utter
bollocks! As far as I am aware there has never been any court case
involving Plant having to defend himself of such ridiculous claims of
‘stealing’ lyrics. Until I have the proof, you had better watch yourself
and your accusations otherwise you could wind up in court defending a
charge of slander. Get a life.
I agree with you David – it’s hard for Plant to slip into another role at
this age. But he seems to be very self-confident. I don’t like his “new ”
Way of to make music….it’s boring.
I like how you put that, and it’s so true of Jimmy. He’s got a positive
outlook & looks like he’s ready to take on anything. What would possibly be
the coolest of all is if we ever got some NEW music out of these guys
before they’re gone forever. But just seeing them all in the same room
sitting next to each other is a thrill in itself, and unlike a lot of other
older bands, they don’t appear to hate each other (& I don’t think they
ever did).
Considering how great Jason is, what he contributed and how flawless his
performance was and that he is John’s son, I’m wondering why he is never
included in these interviews. Perhaps he can’t stand the silly questions.
They seem like nice people.
It’s great to see these 3 living legends together again, but as quoted
below the reporters might as well have asked what colour socks they were
all wearing. You’d think that for one of the most influential rock bands
ever, someone would have come up with some credible questions, I can
understand why they have always been wary of the press. And, I take
exception to anyone accusing Jimmy of still drugtaking. He’s just a
nervous, humble but also very gentle man, I met him in 2005, he is who he
is.
Robert is still so sexy, even though he aged a bit, but so have I, since
those great days in the 70’s. He still has cute smile. One of my memories
of the 70’s is listening to stairway to heaven for the first time. Seeing
them in concert in their hey day was amazing. Sometimes I wish I had a time
machine to travel back in time for just one summer in 1975.
The most staggering inane bunch of questions imaginable from
”journalists” presumably in their 20’s who appear to know virtually
nothing about the band, the individuals or music from the ’60’s & ’70’s.
What a wasted opportunity. Loved the concert though.

I think I get Robert Plant’s point. He’d rather know he’s done great in the
past and basically finished on a high note, rather than trying to come back
and fail. I respect him for not milking it to death. Yeah they could tour
off and on for the next 5-10 years playing all the great old tunes, but it
seems like he would rather keep creatively expanding into new territory.
Not really sure why the first suggested video on the right is about
Muslim’s protesting. Whatever their beef is, I can’t see them getting too
worked up about it, because they always seem like such calm, level headed
folks.
